【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftotaloxygeningasolineandmethanolfuels,andtheycomplementTestMethodD4815,whichcoversthedeterminationofseveralspecificoxygen-containingcompoundsingasoline.Thepresenceofoxygen-containingcompoundsingasolinecanpromotemorecompletecombustion,whichreducescarbonmonoxideemissions.TheCleanAirAct(1992)requiresthatgasolinesoldwithincertain,specifiedgeographicalareascontainaminimumpercentofoxygenbymass(presently2.7mass%)duringcertainportionsoftheyear.Therequirementcanbemetbyblendingcompoundssuchasmethyltertiarybutylether,ethyltertiarybutylether,andethanolintothegasoline.Thesetestmethodscoverthequantitativedeterminationoftotaloxygenwhichistheregulatedparameter.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthequantitativedeterminationoftotaloxygeningasolineandmethanolfuelsbyreductivepyrolysis.1.2Precisiondataareprovidedfor1.0to5.0mass%oxygeningasolineandfor40to50mass%oxygeninmethanolfuels.1.3Severaltypesofinstrumentscanbesatisfactoryforthesetestmethods.Instrumentscandifferinthewaythattheoxygen-containingspeciesisdetectedandquantitated.However,thesetestmethodsaresimilarinthatthefuelispyrolyzedinacarbon-richenvironment.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
