【摘要】:Controlofsilicainboilerfeedwaterandboilerwaterisnecessarytominimizetheformationofscale-formingsilicatesthatdecreaseheattransferintheboiler.Volatilizationandcarryoverofsilicawiththesteammaycausehard,glassysiliceousdepositstoformonturbinebladesthatreduceturbineefficiency.Colloidalsilicathatisnotremovedbyboilerwaterpretreatmentprocessesmaybesolubilizedintheboilerandthuscontributetothedissolvedsilicaconcentrationintheboiler.Bothdissolvedandtotalsilicaareofinterest.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalsilicainwater.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableintherangefrom25to250x03BC;g/LofsilicaasSiO2.Higherconcentrationsmaybedeterminedbydecreasingthealiquotvolume(seeNote6).Concentrationrangeshouldnotbeextendedbydilution.1.3Thistestmethoddeterminestotalsilica,anddoesnotdistinguishbetweensolubleandinsolubleforms.1.4Thistestmethodwastestedonreagentwateronly.Itistheuser''sresponsibilitytoassurethevalidityofthetestmethodforwatersofothermatrices.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
