【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedprimarilytodeterminethegradingofmaterialsproposedforuseasaggregatesorbeingusedasaggregates.Theresultsareusedtodeterminecomplianceoftheparticlesizedistributionwithapplicablespecificationrequirementsandtoprovidenecessarydataforcontroloftheproductionofvariousaggregateproductsandmixturescontainingaggregates.Thedatamayalsobeusefulindevelopingrelationshipsconcerningporosityandpacking.Accuratedeterminationofmaterialfinerthanthe75-x03BC;m(No.200)sievecannotbeachievedbyuseofthistestmethodalone.TestMethodC117formaterialfinerthan75-x03BC;msievebywashingshouldbeemployed.RefertomethodsofsamplingandtestinginSpecificationC637forheavyweightaggregates.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheparticlesizedistributionoffineandcoarseaggregatesbysieving.1.2Somespecificationsforaggregateswhichreferencethistestmethodcontaingradingrequirementsincludingbothcoarseandfinefractions.Instructionsareincludedforsieveanalysisofsuchaggregates.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.SpecificationE11designatesthesizeofsieveframeswithinchunitsasstandard,butinthistestmethodtheframesizeisdesignatedinSIunitsexactlyequivalenttotheinchunits.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
