【摘要】:InstrumentalMeasurementAngles8212;Thispracticeisdesignedtoprovidecolordataatspecificmeasurementanglesthatcanbeutilizedforqualitycontrol,colormatching,andformulatinginthecharacterizationofmetalflakepigmentedmaterials.Materials8212;Thispracticeprovidesmeaningfulcolorinformationformetalflakepigmentedmaterials.Thispracticehasbeentestedandverifiedonpaintandcoatings,andthesameprinciplesshouldapplytoplasticscontainingmetallicflake.FormaterialscontainingpearlescentmaterialsrefertoPracticeE2539.Utilization8212;Thispracticeisappropriateformeasurementandcharacterizationofmetalflakepigmentedmaterials.Thesedatamaybeusedforqualitycontrol,incominginspection,orcolorcorrectionpurposes.SpecimenRequirements8212;Eventhoughapairofspecimenshavethesamecolorvaluesatthreeangles,iftherearedifferencesingloss,orangepeel,texture,orflakeorientation,theymaynotbeavisualmatch.Note28212;Informationpresentedinthispracticeisbasedupondatatakenonmetallicmaterialscoatings.Applicabilityofthispracticetoothermaterialsshouldbeconfirmedbytheuser.1.1Thispracticecoverstheinstrumentalrequirements,standardizationprocedures,materialstandards,andparametersneededtomakepreciseinstrumentalmeasurementsofthecolorsofgonioapparentmaterials.Thispracticeisdesignedtoencompassgonioapparentmaterials;suchas,automotivecoatings,paints,plastics,andinks.1.2Thispracticeaddressesmeasurementofmaterialscontainingmetalflakeandpigments.Themeasurementofmaterialscontainingmetalflakesrequiresthreeanglesofmeasurementtocharacterizethecolorsofthespecimen.Theopticalcharacteristicsofmaterialscontainingpearlescentandinterferencematerialsarenotcoveredbythispractice.Note18212;Datatakenbyutilizingthispracticeareforgonio-appearancequalitycontrolpurposes.Thisproceduremaynotnecessarilysupplyappropriatedataforspatial-appearanceorpigmentidentification.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
