适用范围
本标准规定了八氧化三铀中杂质素的载带光谱测定方法原理、试剂材料、仪器与设备、试样制备、分析步骤、结果计算及方法的精密度。本标准适用于纯度在99.5%以上的八氧化三铀中铁、镍、镁、锰、铬、硼的定量测定和铅、锡、镉、银、钼、铝、铜的半定量测定,也适用于可转化成八氧化三铀的氧化铀中杂质素的测定。

【摘要】:Thewatercontentofsoilisusedthroughoutgeotechnicalengineeringpractice,bothinthelaboratoryandinthefield.Resultsaresometimesneededwithinashorttimeperiodandinlocationswhereitisnotpracticaltoinstallanovenortotransportsamplestoanoven.Thistestmethodisusedfortheseoccasions.Theresultsofthistesthavebeenusedforfieldcontrolofcompactedembankmentsorotherearthstructuressuchasinthedeterminationofwatercontentforcontrolofsoilmoistureanddrydensitywithinaspecifiedrange.ThistestmethodrequiresspecimensconsistingofsoilhavingallparticlessmallerthantheNo.4sievesize.ThistestmethodmaynotbeasaccurateasotheracceptedmethodssuchasTestMethodD2216.Inaccuraciesmayresultbecausespecimensaretoosmalltoproperlyrepresentthetotalsoil,fromclumpsofsoilnotbreakinguptoexposealltheavailablewatertothereagentandfromotherinherentprocedural,equipmentorprocessinaccuracies.Therefore,othermethodsmaybemoreappropriatewhenhighlyaccurateresultsarerequired,orwhentheuseoftestresultsissensitivetominorvariationsinthevaluesobtained.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfensurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodoutlinesproceduresfordeterminingthewater(moisture)contentofsoilbychemicalreactionusingcalciumcarbideasareagenttoreactwiththeavailablewaterinthesoilproducingagas.Ameasurementismadeofthegaspressureproducedwhenaspecifiedmassofwetormoistsoilisplacedinatestingdevicewithanappropriatevolumeofreagentandmixed.1.2ThistestmethodisnotintendedasareplacementforTestMethodD2216;butasasupplementwhenrapidresultsarerequired,whentestingisdoneinfieldlocations,orwhereanovenisnotpracticalforuse.TestMethodD2216istobeusedasthetestmethodtocompareforaccuracychecksandcorrection.1.3Thistestmethodisapplicableformostsoils.Calciumcarbide,usedasareagent,reactswithwaterasitismixedwiththesoilbyshakingandagitatingwiththeaidofsteelballsintheapparatus.Toproduceaccurateresults,thereagentmustreactwithallthewaterwhichisnotchemicallyhydratedwithsoilmineralsorcompoundsinthesoil.Somehighlyplasticclaysoilsorothersoilsnotfriableenoughtobreakupmaynotproducerepresentativeresultsbecausesomeofthewatermaybetrappedinsidesoilclodsorclumpswhichcannotcomeincontactwiththereagent.Theremaybesomesoilscontainingcertaincompoundsorchemicalsthatwillreactunpredictablywiththereagentandgiveerroneousresults.AnysuchproblemwillbecomeevidentascalibrationorchecktestswithTestMethodD2216aremade.Somesoilscontainingcompoundsormineralsthatdehydratewithheat(suchasgypsum)whicharetohavespecialtemperaturecontrolwithTestMethodD2216maynotbeaffected(dehydrated)inthistestmethod.1.4Thistestmethodislimitedtousingcalciumcarbidemoisturetestequipmentmadefor20g,orlarger,soilspecimensandtotestingsoilwhichcontainsparticlesnolargerthantheNo.4Standardsievesize.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddres......
