【摘要】:Applicabletoproductshavingcontentsofmorethan0.0001%(m/m).Theproceduredescribedissuitableforcontentsbetween0.0001%(m/m)and0.0005%(m/m).Itbasesondistillation,withentrainmentbysteam,oftheammoniainthepresenceofanexcessofsodiumhydroxideandcollectionofthedistillateinanexcessofacidsolution.Neutralizationofthedexcessofacidandformationofthecolouredcomplexbytreatmentwithsodiumphenateandsodiumhypochloriteinthepresenceofacetone.Spectrophotometricmeasurementoftheindophenolobtainedatawavelengthofabout630nm.HasalsobeenapprovedbytheIUPAC.
